  • Decarbonisation & future growth – how to change our mobility system & remain competitive
  • Shaping the new mobility landscape – a vision for transport & mobility for Europe

The C-Roads Platform will be present with an Invited Session entitled “How to enable interoperable and seamless cross-border C-ITS services in Europe”, taking place on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 17:00 to 18:30.

The TRA 2018 programme includes a range of different session formats that will offer ample opportunity to share information on recent findings and to discuss the aforementioned challenges and opportunities. In scientific and technical sessions, a broad spectrum of research and innovation activities will be discussed, ranging from basic research findings over application-oriented engineering and socio-economic aspects to policies and standards.

Digitisation, Automatisation and Decarbonisation are major trends that will drastically change the way we live, work and use mobility and transport in the future. Under the heading of “A digital Era for Transport”, the Transport Research Arena 2018 (TRA 2018) to be held on 16-19th April in Vienna, Austria, will explore, discuss and demonstrate these major paradigm shifts specifically directed at important areas of our life, such as transport, mobility, logistics and industrial production.

With a share of 7.7% of the GDP and an average R&D rate of 12%, the transport industry is not only vital to Austria, but is a major driving force for the whole European economy. To address the great challenges of the future mobility system, Austria has been running specific national transport related research programmes for a long time, which are effectively combined with the relevant research and technology programmes of the European Union.

Together with the European Commission, the European Technology Platforms on Transport and Mobility, the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, the Austrian Institute of Technology and AustriaTech are delighted to invite you to the seventh edition of TRA 2018 in Austria.
