C-Roads at the CAR 2 CAR Forum
The C-Roads Platform is taking part in the CAR 2 CAR Forum, the annual two-day international conference organised by the CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium (C2C-CC) at changing venues across Europe.
The first day of the Forum is dedicated to strategic and political plenary sessions, addressing topics such as road safety, the current status of C-ITS, and the future challenges facing cooperative, connected and automated mobility in Europe and beyond. The programme also gives voice to stakeholders beyond the automotive sector, presents important R&D initiatives and projects, and sets out key issues that the community needs to work on going forward.
The second day shifts the focus to the Technical Organisation of the C2C-CC. Its Working Groups report on technical details, results, and the intermediate status of their work on selected work items, while also highlighting the remaining challenges to be resolved in order to reach the overarching goal: improving road safety and traffic efficiency through fore-sighted driving based on shared information, perception, and intentions that support cooperation and automation.
By participating, C-Roads reinforces the close cooperation between the Platform and the CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium, two key drivers of harmonised C-ITS deployment in Europe.
