CODECS - Workshop on Hybrid Communication
CODECS organises workshops to share views with focus of creating common understanding and common approaches. C-ITS use-cases rely on short range communication, wide area communication or both of them. The term “Hybrid Communication” has been introduced in the ITS community in the European Commission C-ITS Platform I report, and is interpreted in different ways. Hybrid Communication has been identified as an important element for the realisation of Traffic Safety and Automation related use cases and applications for the future. At this workshop representatives of the different stakeholder communities will present their view on Hybrid Communication. During the workshop, Hybrid Communication will further be discussed. CODECS intends to collect the different views discussed, compile and consider them and propose a common view. This common view is expected to be presented as part of the European Commission C-ITS Platform activities.
